First of all, my heartfelt condolences to all those who lost their lives in Mumbai. I want all of you to take some time to pray god for strength and peace for all the families who lost their people in Mumbai attack. And I salute everyone starting from NSG team, Police, Army, Service staff from the hotels and all for showing the act of courage and putting their lives at stake to rescue the people.
After 3 days of bloodbath in Mumbai killing so many people, which terrified the whole world, the uncertainty exists among people. Life is uncertain. You never know what will happen next moment. Living in the world of uncertainty where you are not sure whether your dear ones going out will be turning back to home.
I got many mails and forwards after the disaster. Few mails are attached with the pictures of 3 horrible days, which makes you completely hopeless about your life. And most of the mails blaming the politicians, the security, the system what not- the blame game started. Few telling, we have to kill the politicians first and they are responsible for security lapse, lack of leadership to fight against terror, the list goes on. Few people are totally resigned about the things happening and are given up on that telling nothing can be done. Now the question friends who is really responsible? Politicians or Government or who? In a country of 1 billion population just 10 people entering it and could create the world of uncertainty altering the life, who is responsible?
The answer is “I”. It’s me who is responsible for the people who lost their lives. Friends, it’s everyone out there responsible for the bloodbath in Mumbai and all the terror attack in India. This sounds bit illogical isn’t it but it’s the reality. Let’s come to the point. It’s we who elect the politicians, they are not dropped from the sky. My dear friends it’s we who open the doors for the terrorists and we blame everything. When it comes to electing the politician we won’t think about the consequences. We just vote for a person because he is from my religion or my caste or my village or something crap you relate. Then you start blaming the whole system for everything. It’s you who created the whole mess and that’s the reality. We need to accept this and start taking responsibility for the things around us.
Friends lets stop the blame game. Let’s start taking up the responsibility for everything. As Mahatma Gandhi quoted “You must be the change you want to see in the world.”, be responsible in electing your leader. Vote the person who deserves the most, who can stand with us all the times. And for the people who are not voting I want to say one thing, you might be resigned about the things happening around and might have come to the conclusions like let’s not vote. My dear friends it’s not a solution. It’s nothing but avoiding responsibility where you don’t have a say in the matter of your life. When we start electing the best candidates definitely the day is not so far where the politics becomes a game to make a difference in society rather than an individual game for their good. Be the cause in a matter for transforming the whole system to make a better place to live. Being responsible starts with the willingness to deal with a situation from the view of life that you are the generator of what you do, what you have and what you are. That is not the truth. It is a place to stand. Let’s take an oath now itself that “I’m responsible for everything around me”.
Be the cause.
Jai Hind,
Darshan
